Elizabeth Hurley's four-year marriage to businessman Arun Nayar ended in divorce today.

The couple were granted a decree nisi by District Judge Penny Cushing at the Principal Registry of the High Court's Family Division in London.

The judge held that the marriage had ‘broken down irretrievably’ and would be dissolved within six weeks.

Divorced: Today a London court granted Elizabeth Hurley and estranged husband Arun Nayar a decree nisi

Hurley had answered a question on a form which asked what ‘effect’ her husband's unreasonable behaviour might have had on her health as ‘N/A’ (not applicable).

Elizabeth, 46, announced in December that she had split from her husband, after pictures emerged of her kissing cricketer Shane Warne in a hotel in London.

Following the pictures' publication, both Hurley and Warne hastily issued statements revealing that their respective marriages had been over for some time.

Since then, the new couple have been making headlines for their on/off romance, rendezvous in Australia and India and tabloid rumours of his alleged infidelity.

Split: The 46-year-old confirmed she had split from the textile heir in December after pictures emerged of her kissing Shane Warne

Hurley, 46, married the Indian textile heir at Sudely Castle, near Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, in March 2007 - and had a traditional Hindu wedding at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India.

The ceremonies were attended by numerous celebrities, including Sir Elton John, who gave the bride away.

Announcing her separation from Arun, Liz tweeted: 'Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this.'

She added: 'Painful, sad days. Arun & I separated for private reasons but FTR he has been a great father to our son Damian & will always be in his life.'

Hot and heavy: Liz and Shane Warne have been making headlines for their very public romance

Hours later, Shane Warne, 41, took to his own blog to confirm that his tumultuous marriage to wife Simone was also over.

In a statement he said: 'Sadly and unfortunately, Simone and I split up a while ago, our close friends and family were informed at that time.

'It is a private matter so we did not make it public. We remain friends and will continue to be good parents.'

A notorious philanderer, Warne split from Simone, the mother of his children Brooke, 13, Jackson, 11 and Summer, 8, after a string of affairs, including a notorious sex text scandal in 2000 which saw him stripped of his Australian vice-captaincy.

Wedded bliss: The couple pictured with Elizabeth's son Damian following their lavish wedding celebrations in Jodhpur in 2007

They divorced in 2007, but got back together in 2009 for a trial reunion and still live together with their children.

The Daily Mail reported soon afterwards that Hurley may be facing a multi-million pound payout with the divorce.

Despite Arun Nayar’s reputation as a tycoon, his wealth is believed to be vastly exceeded by hers.

The Mail discovered the couple did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement before their lavish wedding ceremonies in India and Britain in 2007.

Younger model: Arun is now dating 25-year-old Kim Johnson

A source revealed: ‘A pre-nup would have been a deal-breaker for Arun. He has his pride.’

Arun has also moved on since the split. He is now dating 25-year-old model Kim Johnson.

The gorgeous brunette caught his eye at a jewellery launch in September, according to reports, and had their first public date at the Lady Gaga gig in London last month, and also attended last week's Glamour Awards.

Ebola outbreak vastly underestimated

The death toll from the world's worst outbreak of Ebola stood on Wednesday at 1,069 from 1,975 confirmed, probable and suspected cases, the agency said. The majority were in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, while four people have died in Nigeria. The agency's apparent acknowledgement the situation is worse than previously thought could spur governments and aid organisations to take stronger measures against the virus. "Staff at the outbreak sites see evidence that the numbers of reported cases and deaths vastly underestimate the magnitude of the outbreak," the organisation said. "WHO is coordinating a massive scaling up of the international response, marshalling support from individual countries, disease control agencies, agencies within the United Nations system, and others." International agencies are looking into emergency food drops and truck convoys to reach hungry people in Liberia and Sierra Leone cordoned off from the outside world to halt the sprea...

Four of the last reporters and photographers willing to cover crime stories have been slain in less than a week in violence-torn Veracruz state

Four of the last reporters and photographers willing to cover crime stories have been slain in less than a week in violence-torn Veracruz state, where two Mexican drug cartels are warring over control of smuggling routes and targeting sources of independent information. The brutal campaign is bleeding the media and threatening to turn Veracruz into the latest state in Mexico where fear snuffs out reporting on the drug war. Three photojournalists who worked the perilous crime beat in the port city of Veracruz were found dismembered and dumped in plastic bags in a canal Thursday, less than a week after a reporter for an investigative newsmagazine was beaten and strangled in her home in the state capital of Xalapa. Press freedom groups said all three photographers had temporarily fled the state after receiving threats last year. The organizations called for immediate government action to halt a wave of attacks that has killed at least seven current and former reporters and photographer...

Sex on Las Yucas Beach gets a council no

RESIDENTS living near Las Yucas Beach in Benalmadena Costa are hopeful that they can now use the beach without fear of bumping into people engaging in sexual acts. Benalmadena Council has installed cameras and signs by the entry point to Las Yucas, prohibiting nudism and sexual activity on the beach. People caught breaking the rules face fines of up to €3,000, according to Benalmadena Councillor for Safety, Manuel Arroyo. “Local Police officers have been told to act immediately.” For years this beach had become a popular meeting place for people engaging in ‘dogging’, sexual acts in public places – or watching others doing so. Websites exist promote dogging locations, and people travel from all over the Costa del Sol to these places, one of which was Las Yucas. The properties above this beach are luxury apartments and people living there say they have not been able to enjoy the beach due to these sex romps. “It started about 10-years ago, ...
